Beauty With Purpose Takes Centre Stage at Dublin Multicultural Event

Contestants from several countries gathered in Dublin for a multicultural pageant that combined cultural celebration with an educational news european commission message about drug prevention. Approximately 450 people attended the Dublin programme, where 24 contestants representing seven nations presented their cultures, talents and personal messages. The organisers worked with The Truth About Drugs Ireland to include an educational element alongside the pageant and cultural performances. The programme began with an educational exhibition where visitors could review factual information about drugs, addiction and prevention. Contestants were encouraged to prepare by studying drug-prevention materials, and a number of them completed every available online course. Mayor of South Dublin Cllr. Francis Timmons addressed the audience and highlighted the value of cultural diversity, education and prevention. The afternoon also included Irish, Indian and Indonesian dance performances, reflecting the international character of the gathering. Software engineer Niveditha Vudayagiri received the Miss Cross Continent 2026 title at the conclusion of the programme. The first runner-up title went to Fortunate Lindokuhle Masina, followed by Yuki Yuliatin as second runner-up. The pageant showed that public events can celebrate talent and diversity while also addressing important social concerns.
